Web Videos

BMWImagination Unlimited was recently asked by CAE to produce a series of web videos for their web site. In the Corporate Video Production industry there has been a real shift in recent years from traditional DVD and Blu-ray distribution methods of video content to web based videos. Although DVD's and Blu-ray's are the perfect choice for trade shows and exhibitions, they may not be the perfect fit for distribution in some cases. In 2012 alone there were one percent more viewers watching web videos than traditional TV. In spite of what appears at first glance to be a very low percentage, this number represents a tipping point to content producers as well as clients. This means that in 2013, more people will be watching web video content than TV content. If this trend continues, and there is no reason to believe it will not, businesses that produce video to support their products and services will have to embrace videos on their own web sites as well as sites such as YouTube. Currently, YouTube is the number two search engine behind Google. Businesses can no longer ignore the fact that a professionally produced video is not a luxury but a necessary means of getting seen in the marketplace and ranking higher in search engines. Additionally, web videos are a great way of engaging new clients without having them read a large amount of text. Click the picture above to see some of the web videos we produced.

Point of View (POV) Cameras

DDWe all know that electronics are getting smaller and more powerful at a dizzying rate. This is especially true in the video industry. Back in the early days of remote video, you had to carry a 40 lb. camera and a separate deck both of which were connected with an equally huge cable. Today you can find cameras such as the Go Pro Hero which are 2 inches by 3 inches that can record 1080p High Definition video to a memory card. We have found a multitude of uses for these cameras such as putting them inside burning components, atop of satellite dishes, and hundreds of other places where full size cameras just can't go. Their wide angle field of view and infinite focal length make them perfect for looking through eyepieces that are commonly found in simulation systems. Contact us today to see how we can put these cameras to use in your next project.

Script as Video GPS

KodiakYou probably wouldn't think of traveling across country without a map or GPS these days. That's unless you're on a Spring Break College road trip. So why would you consider producing a video without a script? It happens a lot more than you might think. A well written script is your GPS through your video project. Clients are often so close to their topics that they fail to realize their audience hasn't the faintest clue what they are talking about. A large percentage of our videos are created to explain very complex machines, concepts or processes. Because these topics are often cutting edge it is imperative that a complete well written script be developed before shooting any video footage. But where do you start to develop a script? That's where we come in. Over the years we have developed hundreds of award winning video scripts for the most complex of topics. We can get started with as little as a Power Point presentation about the topic and a kick-off meeting. From there we will develop a rough outline for review then proceed to script development. The complete process is both collaborative and stress free for the client. Contact us today and let us help you navigate through your next video script.

Transfers and Duplication

RRDo you still have video content on videotapes? If so contact us today so we can discuss the best way to digitize that content and transfer it to a hard drive where it can be used in your current video projects. Let's face it videotape is going away. Almost all new camera technology today is what we call "tape less" technology. Since videotape is a physical medium it has a somewhat fixed shelf life. It's important to get that footage off of those tapes before it's too late. We also offer CD, DVD and Blu-ray duplication services, contact us today for a free quote and competitive pricing.
